He was a merchant in Chicago, Ill.


2371. Solmon Raleigh MINER

He was a lawdyer and a Civil Engineer.  Lived in Plano, Ill.  He divorced Mary, telling her he wanted to marry another woman, but no data concerning a seconde marriage has surfaced.

Born 20 Sep 1859 (W. Avery Miner, James of Ephraim, p. 73).


5908. Frances Lillian MINER

"Fannie" moved to California after the death of her husband in 1923, where she
became a milliner and worked many years for Western Costume Co., in Hollywood.
Among her creations were the Civil War era hats used in "Gone with the Wind."

In 1950 she retired to San Francisco to live with her brother Frederick.  No issue.  She finished rearing children of her brother Charlesw Fremont Miner after the death of Charles and his wife.

2378. Fredrick Jedediah Allen MINER

He left Freedon Township. where he owned the farm, and went to Black Hawk County, Waterloo, Iowa, with his borther-in-law Abram P. Hosford in 1854.  He left Iowa to go to California.  He never returned to Iowa or Illinois.
