When Elisha married Mary, whom people thought beneath him; however, they admitted afterwoard that she killed them with kindness. Wehn Elisha died, Mary bravely took up the burden of supporting the family by carpet weaving.
Some said that she made a mistake of marrying a widower with three children.
She had a set of twins who died at birth.
