Pleasanton resident, 58PLEASANTON - Rod Lewis, 58, of Pleasanton died Saturday, July 21, 2012, at his home.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Grace Lutheran Church in Pleasanton with the Rev. Dean Hanson officiating. Burial will be at Pleasanton Cemetery.
He was born July 31, 1953, in Loup City to Orville and Leola (Curry) Lewis.
On Dec. 28, 1977, he married Jill Grassmeyer in Denver.
Survivors include his wife; sons, Tate Lewis and his wife, Kerry, and Dominic Lewis, all of Keller, Texas, and Ian Lewis and Devin Lewis, both of Pleasanton; daughter, Erika Madison and her husband, Josh, of Lincoln; his mother of Ravenna; brothers, Loren Lewis and his wife, Joann, of Ravenna and Wayne Lewis of Emmett, Idaho; father-in-law, Dean Grassmeyer of Gibbon; sisters-in-law, Jeri McKeon and Jane Smith, both of Gibbon; and grandchildren, Trevis, Emma, Jaci, Jordan and Riley.
He grew up and received his education in Litchfield. He and Jill lived in the Buffalo County area where he was employed by Sahling Kenworth as a detailer for 24 years.
He loved all sports played at any level, especially Husker football. He enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids. Rod was an avid music lover with focus on blues guitar.
He was preceded in death by his father; son, Benjamin; mother-in-law, Mardell Grassmeyer; and sister-in-law, Judy Lewis.
