At the time of his death, he had seven grand children. He was killed in a hunting accident.

Services for Fay Lorraine Miner Hope, 70, of Thornton, who died Sunday, July 16, 2000, at the home of her son in Pocatello of a lingering illness, will be conducted at 1 PM Thursday, July20, at Flamn Funeral home in Rexburg.
Burial will be at the Rexburg, Cemetery.
She was born Jan 29, 1930 in Rexburg to George D. Miner and Iris Deane Stratton. She attended Rexburg schools. She married Vernon James Hope Nove 26, 1947 in Rexburg. They lived in Rexburg.
She had three children while living in Rexburg and then moved to Salt Lake City. Five more children were born there. She was a loving wife and a very loving mother of on girl and seven boys. She was also a very loving grandmother.She was active in the PTA while living in SLC. She Actively studied the Bible throughout her life and studied with Jehovah Witnesses in both Rexburg and SLC. She loved life and enjoyed camping vacations, fishing and family reunions. Her family alsways came first. She loved to photograph beautiful sunsets and sunrises. She enjoyed looking at family home movies and photo albums. She dedicated her life to her children and she never complained.
She enjoyed nature, birds and flowers and collected rocks and gems to make jewelry. She also did beautiful bead work.Surviving are her children, Lola Marie Mithchell of Richardson, Texas, Dennis Kay (Sheila) Hope of Thornton, Vernon Jay (Lorraine) Hope of St. Anthony, Dyle Brent (Kelly) Hope and Dale John (DeAnne) Hope, both of Parker, Kevin Dee (Gloria) Hope of Pocatello and Bryce Alan (Tammy) Hope of West Valley, Utah; 36 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and her brother.
