Died at age 91 years, unmarried.
Conn. vital statistics show Grace, daughter of Joseph and Grace, to be born
April 22, 1732, in New London, Conn. Billings Family Genealogies show that
Samuel Billings married Grace Minor, Daughter of Joseph Jr., on October 14,
1744. Births of their children could seem to verify the 1744 date.
Letter from Bill Miner, 28 Jan 1997: "According to a letter dated 24 Jan 1863
from Frances F. Caulkins to William W. Billings, a list of marriages performed
by Joshua Hempstead show that Sanuel Billings married Grace Minard, not Grace
Miner, on 14 oct 1744. Also on a list of church members made by Rev. Jewett in
montville, CT, is the statement that Grace Minard married Samuel Billings. Also
in Montville Congregational Church, Vol 3, page 25, 1739, is entry that Grace
Minard admitted to the Church and married Samuel Billings.

It is doubtful that Grace married Samuel at the age of 12. Either her birth date or her marriage date is probably wrong but independent sources verify the information.

16. Clement MINER III

Clement lived most of his life in New London, but sojourned a few years in
Norwich, where his sons Clement and Daniel were born. He returned to New
London, and is buried in the Bill Hill Cemetery at Lyme. No probate record of
his estate has been found.

brother Solomon and kinsman Jesse Miner to be executors.
