When Elisha married Mary, whom people thought beneath him; however, they admitted afterwoard that she killed them with kindness. Wehn Elisha died, Mary bravely took up the burden of supporting the family by carpet weaving.  

Some said that she made a mistake of marrying a widower with three children.

She had a set of twins who died at birth.

Baptist minister, md (1) Electa Covell, Feb 19, 1817 (sld 2 Jun 1960 AL), who died when their only child, a son, Covell, was born.  Son of Lemuel Taylor (1762) and Sarah Boardman (1763).
