3. Ephraim MINOR

He was a member of the Church of England.  Public Service: a deputy to the
General Court for many terms, a Justice of the Peace, a Selectman, captain of a
train band.

Ephraim was a member of the Church of England. He was active in politics.

He was appointed in May 1704 (being then a Sergeant), Lieut. of the NewLondon
County Troop, for service in the French War.  He was commissioned Lieut.of the
North Stonington company, Oct 1707, and Capt. of the 2nd company, Oct1715.  He
served as Deputy for Stonington, May 1712, May 1714, Oct 1722, Oct 1723,Oct
1724, and Oct 1728.

According to Scott Bill Hirst, Mary Linkon (Lincoln) was an ancestory of Pres. Abraham Lincoln, 16th president of US.

Mary was the son of Richard STEVENS and Mary LINKEN of Taunton, MA.

Administration of Samuel's estate was granted to Dorothy Frink, his second wife, on 13 Oct 1713 in Stonington.  Dorothy Stanton had two husbands: Lynde and Trerice.  Samuel was her 3rd husband.
